If you are attempting to give LinkU permissions to manage your business page, but get the following error, or something similar:

The page ownership request cannot be accepted because it is linked to an Instagram Business profile. To accept this business page ownership request, go to Instagram and convert to a personal account or change the Page linked to your business profile.

This occurs usually when you have a Facebook Business Manager account which was used to create the page, and also have an Instagram business account linked to the page.

With this setup, you must give LinkU permission to access your business page another way, which is explained here.

  1. From your Facebook page, click on the settings drop down, then to go to your Business Manager where your Facebook Business page is managed.

2. This will open your Facebook Business Manager.
3. Click to open Business Settings.

4.  Click on Partners, then click Add and select Give a partner access to your assets.

5. Enter our partner ID: 1674924129456883, then click Next.

6. Follow the steps to Assign Assets. Click on the business page you want LinkU to manage, then turn ON, the Manage Page permission.

7. Click to Save Changes. LinkU has now been added, so we can create ads for your Facebook Business page.

8. Return to the LinkU Onboard and follow the steps to add your existing Facebook Business page, and this time, no request will be sent, it will simply be automatically approved so you can continue to the next step of the Onboard process.

If you have trouble or need help doing this, our team would be happy to perform a remote support session to complete this process for you.
