Some clients may find it necessary to create special contents within the listing description when adding listings, or may have special fields they would like to include in the listing. In most cases these fields are not necessary to be added as database fields in our listing database, but certain information may be needed to be included in these types of listings.
By setting the default listing description, when you add NEW listings via your control panel, instead of the default "Write Content Here" text, your default description text will be displayed.
You can create a default description from My Listings -> Featured Listing Settings.
Find the setting Listing Description Default Text.
Enter the default description. If you need a more advanced layout, you can enter HTML, however this is more advanced. If you need assistance, please contact Client Services.
Once done click to Save the settings.
Now when you add a new listing, your default description will appear. Keep in mind, this does not work for imported listings, since the description is provided by the IDX.
FS Website (For Sale By Owner System)
This feature is also available in the FS system, however it is configured differently. It can be found under FS Settings -> Add/Manage Listing Form Fields. Then edit the field Form Field Default Values.
