Samsung Galaxy S7 Email Setup

  • Open your Apps screen.

  • Open the Samsung folder.

  • Launch the application titled 'Email'.

  • Click the three horizontal bars in the upper-left hand corner of the screen.

  • Click the Gear in the upper-right hand of this new sidebar.

  • Under 'Accounts' at the top of the screen, click 'Add Account'.

  • Click 'Add Other Account' at the bottom of the list.

  • Enter the full email address in the first line, and the password in the second line.

  (If you are unsure what your password is, you can confirm it be trying to log in to linkuwebmail.com.  If you need to reset it, you can follow the steps on pass.linkuwebmail.com.)

  • You may choose either POP3 or IMAP account.

  (Use POP3 if you would like to store your messages off of the server and on your device.  Use IMAP if you would like to save room on your device and keep them on the server.)

  • Email address will be your full email address.

  • User name will be your full email address.

  • Password will be your password.

  (Use the steps above if you are still unsure what it is.)

  • If using POP, change incoming server from 'pop3.yourdomain.com' to 'pop.linkumail.com'.

  (Careful to remove the '3' AND change the domain name.)

  • If using IMAP, change incoming server from 'imap.yourdomain.com' to 'imap.linkumail.com'.

  • Security type will remain None

  • Port for POP is 110.

  • Port for IMAP is 143.

  • The option for 'Delete email from server' is entirely up to personal-preference.

  • Change outgoing server from 'smtp.yourdomain.com' to 'smtp.linkumail.com'.

  • Security type will remain None

  • Port for SMTP will be 25.

  (If you are having problems connecting, change it to 2500.)

  • Make sure 'Authentication required before sending emails' is checked.

  • Make sure username is the full email address.

  • Make sure your password is correct.

  • Select your 'Sync schedule'.

  (This just determines when your application checks for email.  The smaller the number the more frequently it checks.)

  • Select if you want your email platform to notify you when email comes in.  You can always change this later.

  • Set your account name.

  (This is what will show in your list of synced email accounts.)

  • Set your name.

  (This is what will show in outgoing emails to your recipients.)

  • Click next, and your account should be configured.
